One-click unsubscribe
Every email can include an unsubscribe link via the{{unsubscribeUrl}} merge tag, and
Norbelys supports the one-click unsubscribe standard that Gmail and Microsoft now expect.
When someone opts out:
- They’re not contacted again — the opt-out is permanent.
- The sequence stops for them immediately.
- On the message page you’ll see “They opted out via the one-click unsubscribe and won’t be contacted again,” and “Unsubscribed” appears as a terminal step in their journey.
Suppression — the “never email again” list
When an address should never be emailed again, Norbelys suppresses it. Suppression happens automatically in a few cases:
You can also add someone to your suppression list yourself, from a contact’s Actions
menu (“Add to suppression list”). Suppressed addresses are blocked from being emailed or
re-imported.
How bounces are handled
Not all bounces are the same, and Norbelys treats them differently — it explains each one in plain language on the message page:- Hard bounce (the address is dead) — suppressed, so you never send to it again.
- Soft bounce (a temporary problem) — Norbelys retries delivery automatically.
- Sender setup problem — “Fix the sender’s setup, then this message can be re-sent.”
Optional: stop and suppress on a failing mailbox
In Settings → Organization you can control bounce handling for your whole workspace:- Stop on a failing mailbox — stop a person’s sequences when their mailbox keeps rejecting mail (full or over quota).
- Also suppress the address — permanently block re-sending or re-importing a soft-stopped address (only available when the first option is on).
Your data stays yours
Reports you share never expose contacts, and you can export or delete your data. For account-level and organization controls, see Settings & team.Norbelys automates the mechanics of compliance, but you’re still responsible for sending
lawful, honest outreach — accurate sender identity, a real opt-out, and following the rules
that apply where your recipients are (such as CAN-SPAM or GDPR).
