Leads are the people enrolled in a campaign. Adding leads puts people into the campaign’s flow; it does not send anything on its own. On a draft, nothing goes out until you launch; on a live campaign, newly added people simply start receiving emails on schedule.

The Leads tab

Each campaign has a Leads tab showing everyone enrolled, with their status (Active, Replied, Bounced, Unsubscribed, Finished, Not sent, Cancelled, Paused), their progress through the sequence (“2 / 4 sent”), and when they were last updated. You can filter by status, search, and open any lead for a detailed view.

Add leads

Press Add leads to open the enrollment sheet.

First, the prerequisites

If the campaign isn’t ready, you’ll see a checklist first — you need at least one connected sender and at least one sequence step before you can enroll and send. Each links to the tab where you fix it.

Choose an audience source

All active people

Everyone in your workspace who isn’t already in this campaign.

From a group

A static list you built by hand.

From a segment

Everyone matching a saved, auto-updating filter.

Upload a CSV

Import a file and enroll it in one flow.
For a group or segment, pick it from a dropdown. For a segment, you can also turn on Keep in sync — new people who come to match that segment are automatically enrolled going forward, instead of a one-time snapshot. For a CSV, the full importer opens (with verification, just like in People) and then enrolls everyone it imported.

What happens after adding

You’ll get a receipt: “N leads added,” with a note of how many were already in the campaign (those are skipped — never enrolled twice). Then either:
  • Live campaign — “They’ll start receiving emails” on the normal schedule.
  • Draft campaign — “Launch the campaign when you’re ready to send.”
Enrolling is safe to do early. You can build your whole audience, review it on the Leads tab, and only then launch. Adding people never starts sending on a draft.

Where each person goes

New people are assigned to whichever of the campaign’s mailboxes is free first. From then on, that person always hears back from the same address that first wrote to them, so the conversation stays consistent. See the campaign’s From / Senders tab and Campaigns.
